Hart Shaw Business Recovery and Insolvency have a full time team of six.

Christopher Brown

Partner, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Christopher joined Hart Shaw in 1992, qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 1997 and became a partner in 2003. With his considerable experience in all areas of business recovery and insolvency, he brings a practical and personal approach to dealing with business problems.

Emma Legdon

Partner, Licensed Insolvency practitioner

Emma joined the business recovery team in 1996, having originally joined the firm in 1993. Emma is fully involved in the full range of services the business recovery team provides on both corporate and personal insolvencies. Emma qualified as an Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2011, obtained her license in 2012 and was made a Partner at the firm in April 2013.

Ken Pearson

Senior Business Recovery & Insolvency Administrator

Ken joined the business recovery team in 1990. Ken previously worked in a variety of accounting roles and has a valuable knowledge and experience of the practical and financial aspects of running a business. Ken is involved in the full range of services the business recovery team provides on corporate insolvencies.

Paula Uttley

Senior Business Recovery & Insolvency Administrator

Paula joined the business recovery team in 2008, bringing with her 14 years of experience of working in corporate insolvency. Since joining Hart Shaw Paula has continued to work on corporate insolvencies whilst also gaining experience in bankruptcy work. Paula is also a member of the Institute of Credit Management.

Mark Wharin

Business Recovery & Insolvency Administrator

Mark joined the business recovery team in 2005 and has gained experience in both corporate and personal insolvencies. Mark supports the business recovery team in all aspects of the services offered in relation to corporate insolvencies and Individual Voluntary Arrangements.

Karen Prescott-White

Business Recovery & Insolvency Administrator

Karen joined Hart Shaw in 2007 initially working in the firms outsourcing department. She moved into the Business Recovery & Insolvency Department as an Administrator in 2011 and provides support to the team working on both corporate and personal insolvencies.
